Accommodation is always the first thing that pet lovers will look for. Austin has a lot of pet-friendly hotels, among which Staybridge Suites Austin Arboretum and Holiday Inn Express Austin North Central are regarded as the excellent ones. In some hotels, your pets can check in for free, but most of the hotels will charge an additional fare. The fee will be based on the type and size of your pet.

There are many restaurants in Austin that provide outdoor tables. Artz rib house, BB rover's Cafe and pub and Carmelo's Italian restaurant are among the most welcomed eating places. In Red's Porch, they will offer you tasty chicken tortilla soup, and the first floor is dog-friendly.

Austin Zoo, Zilker Park, Goin Banana Playnasium and Town Lake Park are very pet-friendly places to go. While in the Red Bud Isle, a peninsula surrounded by water on three sides, dogs can wander around the trees and swim in the river. There are always numerous friendly dogs there so that they can socialize, frolic until wearing themselves out.

The Town Lake, which is also known as Lady Bird Lake is a pet friendly spot with friendly people around. There are miles of hike and bike trails for tourists while the pets, dogs in particular, will love to run along the lake and chase the small paddle boats that float by. Both you and your fluffy friend will have fun here.
